In the short 50 years since these words were spoken, San Jose has grown from a sleepy suburban sprawl into a city that contends against the world's financial and technological centers. With more international flights than gates that could handle those flights, San Jose is long due for a makeover of its public transit system.
Using VTA's Final Plan for 2017 and current projections of the South Bay BART Extension, I created a unified, albeit a hopeful and "best case" transit map of the Silicon Valley, which is notorious for its snarling freeway jams and long-winded transfers between different systems.
